PADECS is a statewide computerized system which will coordinate law enforcement activities on specific individual targets and operations. The computerized system will be operated at MAGLOCLEN. (Middle Atlantic-Great Lakes Organized Crime Law Enforcement Network)

PADECS has two primary functions; to enhance the safety of all officers involved in drug investigations and conserve agency resources by the sharing of information or participating in joint investigations on common targets.

PADECS is available to all local, county, state and federal law enforcement agencies operating within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The PNOA strongly encourages any drug investigating agency to consider the use of PADECS especially where specific targets could be the subject of a narcotics investigation by another law enforcement agency.

The PNOA will not get into the specifics of how PADECS works, is to be used or what agencies should use it.
